About the Role:
Our Internship Program offers meaningful work in a FORTUNE 500® company within the Financial Services industry. Advice & Wealth Management works toward providing a best-in-class client and advisor experience, while also making sure our products and services create a competitive advantage for Ameriprise. Departments include Wealth Management Solutions, Banking & Cash Solutions and Supervision & Risk Mitigation.

Depending on assigned projects and business needs, responsibilities may include: 

  • Identifying opportunities to improve existing processes and recommending solutions that enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and the overall stakeholder experience. 

  • Developing, maintaining, and delivering business reporting, dashboards, and analytical insights to support decision-making. 

  • Tracking project milestones, risks, and issues, and partnering with stakeholders to facilitate timely resolution. 

  • Conducting market and competitive research and presenting findings and recommendations to business leaders. 

  • Supporting the development and enhancement of internal reporting capabilities through data analysis, documentation, and process improvements. 

  • Evaluating client- and advisor-facing programs by analyzing performance metrics, assessing effectiveness, and identifying opportunities for optimization. 

  • Assisting with annual product due diligence activities, including researching platform offerings, validating adherence to established standards, and preparing materials for product committee review and approval. 

  • Collaborating with cross-functional partners to gather requirements, analyze business challenges, and support strategic initiatives. 

  • Preparing presentations, executive summaries, and recommendations for leadership audiences. 

  • Participating in special projects that provide exposure to business strategy, operations, analytics, product management, and organizational planning. 

 

 

 

Required Qualifications:  

  • Current junior pursuing a bachelor's degree at an accredited four-year college or university in Finance, Business Management, Business Analytics, Economics, or a related field. 

  • Expected graduation date between December 2027 and Spring 2028. 

  • Demonstrated leadership experience through academic, professional, athletic, volunteer, or extracurricular activities. 

 

 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • High level of self-motivation, initiative, and accountability, with a strong commitment to integrity and ethical decision-making. 

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills. 

  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and build constructive working relationships. 

  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities. 

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook. 

  • Demonstrated curiosity, willingness to learn, and a desire to contribute to business outcomes. 

  • Experience leading projects, teams, student organizations, or community initiatives is a plus. 

 

 

Additional Information  

The company does not offer corporate undergraduate internships for students with F-1 visas. 

 

In-Office Collaboration 

We are a client-centric, relationship-based business. Working together, in-person, is foundational to how we achieve results. By fostering a culture of face-to-face collaboration, idea sharing, productivity and personal connection, we deliver for our stakeholders — clients, advisors, employees and shareholders. Our employees work in the office at least four (4) days per week, with flexibility to work from home one (1) day per week. Some roles may require additional in-office time or different in-office expectations, and specific requirements will be discussed during the hiring process 

Base Pay Salary

The estimated hourly salary range for this role is $28.50. We have a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives depending on the role.
