The Advancement Department is a newly established division at the French
International School. We are looking for an Advancement Officer/Co-ordinator
who will play a pivotal operational role within the Advancement Team. Reporting
to the Director of Advancement, the Advancement Officer/Co-ordinator will
provide vital administrative, database and logistical support to power FIS’s
fundraising and community engagement efforts. The ideal candidate is a
detail-oriented problem solver who enjoys creating order in a fast-paced
environment.
Requirements
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the preparation and execution of
advancement initiatives
- Provide general Advancement administrative
support, including expense processing, reporting, and monitoring the school’s “info@” email account
- Merchandising/sourcing and managing the
inventory of goodies, including liaising with vendors to ensure quality and
timely delivery
- Accurately input donor information and alumni
contact details into the school’s CRM (database) to ensure data integrity
- Assist in drafting donor acknowledgements and
stewardship communications, newsletter content, and campaign appeal materials
in collaboration with the Advancement Team.
- Reconcile donation records in close coordination
with the Finance Department to ensure transparency and financial accuracy
- Assist with content capture at school events to
support marketing and storytelling efforts
- Other tasks relating to advancement as assigned
at the discretion of leadership.
REQUIREMENTS
- 2-4 years of
experience in office administration, database management, CRM operations or
non-profit/educational support roles
- Fluency in English (spoken and written) and professional working knowledge of Mandarin
(spoken and written)
- Positive attitude
with a high level of self-motivation and a responsible work ethic
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail with the ability to multi-task
efficiently
- Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal abilities
- Comfortable working within a developing Advancement function and evolving strategic
priorities
- Familiarity with creative and digital communication tools, such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite,
and email marketing, Mailchimp and Google Suite. Working knowledge of CMS
software and data analysis

What We Do
Established in 1963, the French International School (FIS) was one of the first international schools in Hong Kong. Now the school is one of the largest schools in Hong Kong with over 2,700 students from Reception to Year 13/Terminale representing 40 different nationalities, across 4 campuses. Our new state-of-the-art Tseung Kwan O eco-campus opened in September 2018. FIS offers two streams of education: - The French stream linked by a Partnership status to the Agency for French Education Abroad (AEFE) which follows the French National Education curriculum leading to the French Baccalaureate. - The International stream which follows the English curriculum leading to IGCSE in Year 11 and to the International Baccalaureate (IB) in Year 13.
