Responsibilities
  • Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs) of Project Manager

    1. Project Planning & Scheduling

  • Develop comprehensive project execution plans defining project scope, deliverables, milestones, schedules, budgets, and resource requirements. Establish project objectives and align all stakeholders with project goals and timelines. Create and maintain project schedules to ensure activities are executed in accordance with contractual commitments. 
  • Identify project dependencies, constraints, and potential risks impacting project execution. Develop mitigation plans to minimize schedule, commercial, and operational risks. Coordinate project priorities across engineering, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, quality, and customer teams. Ensure effective planning and resource allocation throughout the project lifecycle.

    2. Project Execution & Monitoring

  • Lead and coordinate project execution from customers kick-off through project completion. Monitor project performance against approved scope, budget, schedule, and quality objectives. Track engineering progress, material readiness, manufacturing schedules, inspections, documentation, and shipment activities. Identify project issues proactively and implement corrective actions to maintain project objectives. 
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration to ensure on-time project delivery. Conduct regular project review meetings and provide project status updates to management and customers. Ensure project milestones are achieved in accordance with contractual requirements.

    3. Stakeholder & Customer Management

  • Act as the primary customer interface during project execution. Develop and maintain strong customer relationships to ensure high customer satisfaction. Lead customer kick-off meetings, progress review meetings, and project status discussions. Coordinate with customers, vendors, factories, logistics providers, consultants, EPC contractors, and internal teams. 
  • Manage customer expectations and resolve project-related concerns in a timely manner. Facilitate communication between stakeholders to ensure alignment on project objectives and deliverables. Support conflict resolution and escalation management when required.



    4. Commercial & Contract Management

  • Ensure project execution complies with contractual obligations and commercial commitments. Monitor project financial performance, revenue realization, and profitability. Manage project scope changes, variation orders, and contractual deviations. Evaluate commercial impacts arising from customer revisions and change requests. 
  • Review project commitments and ensure alignment between project scope and contractual requirements. Support risk assessment and commercial decision-making throughout project execution. Ensure achievement of project financial objectives and business targets.

    5. Vendor, Factory & Supply Chain Coordination

  • Coordinate with Honeywell factories, third-party vendors, and supply chain teams to ensure timely project execution. Monitor material readiness and manufacturing progress. Follow up on critical deliveries and mitigate supply chain risks. Escalate manufacturing, procurement, and logistics issues that may impact project schedules. Coordinate with vendors and factories to achieve committed delivery dates. Support inspection readiness, shipment planning, and material dispatch activities.

    6. Inspection, FAT & Delivery Management

  • Lead planning and coordination of Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), inspections, and customer witness activities. Coordinate with customers, third-party inspectors, vendors, factories, and quality teams. Monitor inspection schedules and ensure timely closure of open actions. 
  • Review inspection status and project readiness before shipment. Ensure successful completion of project delivery milestones. Support logistics and shipment coordination to meet customer delivery requirements.

    7. Risk, Quality & Compliance Management

  • Identify, assess, and manage project risks throughout the project lifecycle. Maintain project risk registers and mitigation plans. Ensure compliance with customer specifications, contractual requirements, and applicable industry standards. Promote a proactive approach toward quality, safety, and risk management. 
  • Monitor project performance and implement preventive actions where necessary. Drive issue resolution and escalation management to minimize project impact.

    8. Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams involved in project execution. Provide direction and support to Project Engineers, Engineering Teams, Procurement Teams, Quality Teams, Logistics Teams, and Vendors. Foster collaboration and accountability among stakeholders. Support effective decision-making and prioritization of project activities. Promote a culture of teamwork, ownership, and continuous improvement. Drive alignment between business objectives and project execution activities.

    9. Closing & Project Handover

  • Ensure all contractual, technical, commercial, and documentation requirements are completed prior to project closure. Obtain formal customer acceptance and project signoffs. Verify completion of all project deliverables and outstanding obligations. Coordinate project handover to service, operations, or post-order support teams as applicable. 
  • Capture and document lessons learned from project execution. Archive project records and ensure proper documentation retention. Share project learnings and best practices with Engineering and Project Execution teams. Formally close projects in accordance with organizational procedures.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation Engineering (PMP® Certified)
  • Fire & Gas Domain Knowledge

    Strong understanding of Honeywell Fire & Gas Systems & products such as Searchline Excel / Optima, Sensepoint, RAEGuard IR Gas Detectors, XNX Universal Transmitter, FS24X / FSX Flame Detectors, XLS Fire Panels, VESDA Systems and Other Industry Vendors such as E2S, MEDC, Teledyne, Protectowire, Xtralis, Esser.

  • 8+ years of experience in Project Management, Instrumentation, Field Instruments, Fire & Gas Systems, and the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and Refinery industries. Proven expertise in managing the complete project lifecycle from project handover through planning, execution, monitoring, FAT and inspection management, logistics coordination, customer acceptance, and project closure. 
  • Strong background in project management methodologies, contract and commercial management, vendor and stakeholder coordination, risk mitigation, compliance management, and revenue achievement. 
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage complex projects, and deliver safe, high-quality, cost-effective solutions within schedule and budget. Excellent communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction, operational excellence, continuous improvement, and business growth

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation Engineering
  • PMP® Certification
  • 8+ years of project management experience in Instrumentation, Fire & Gas Systems, Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industries
  • Fire & Gas domain knowledge and familiarity with Honeywell Fire & Gas products
