Advanced Site Reliability Administrator

The Position: The Advanced Site Reliability Administrator is responsible for the uptime, reliability, performance, and management of all of ISN’s cloud-based environments (Production, Disaster Recovery, Development, etc.) for multiple applications. This includes both management at the OS/service level as well as writing/maintaining tools that leverage automation to both minimize disruption and increase reliability for all of our services and applications.

Who should apply?

• 4+ years in a systems administrator, DevOps or software engineer role
• 2+ years of managing mission critical 24/7 Production internet-facing applications
• 2+ years of deploying resources to Azure or other cloud provider experience
• 2+ years of demonstrated experience in automating deployments, server configurations, or creating DevOps-related efficiencies
• 2+ years managing Windows/Linux OS patches and other software updates
• 2+ years of experience with PowerShell, bash or other languages
• Solid understanding of core networking and connectivity topics related to internet-based applications (DNS, load balancers, VPN, VLAN, etc.)

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Deploy, monitor, troubleshoot, and manage Azure-based virtual machines running Windows (2022+) and Linux (Ubuntu 22.04+)
• Manage and support application hosting on virtual machines including web servers (IIS, Apache, Nginx), SQL Servers, SFTP servers, Elasticsearch
• Support line-of-business applications running on virtual machines including Tableau, Qlik, Alteryx, Neo4j, RabbitMQ, and custom developed applications
• Monitor, troubleshoot, maintain, and report metrics on service and application issues (uptime, redundancy, latency, performance, usage, etc.)
• Manage storage platforms for ISN (storage accounts and third-party vendors) including lifecycle management, encryption, capacity forecasting and management
• Automate server deployments, server configurations, audits of deployments and configurations and creating DevOps efficiencies using a combination of batch files and PowerShell

Job Location: 3232 McKinney Ave Ste 1500, Dallas, TX 75204.

• Employees must be within a commutable distance to the Dallas, TX office. Relocation is required for candidates not already local to the DFW area.
• In-office attendance up to two times per week for the first 90 days of employment. 
• After 90 days completion, you will have an option to work remotely with at least 1 in-person engagement required monthly (team collaboration day, ISN events, team events, performance reviews, etc.).
