Pay Range:

$49,700.00 - $81,650.00

Position Summary: 

 

The Advanced Research Associate is responsible for executing experiments and producing batches of low to moderate complexity. This role independently prioritizes work, analyzes data, drafts SOPs, troubleshoots technical issues, and ensures laboratory and equipment functionality. The position collaborates across groups and contributes to process improvements while maintaining high-quality standards. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Set up and perform experiments or produce batches of low to moderate complexity. 

  • Compile, analyze, and report on data. 

  • Make decisions based on experimental data or results. 

  • Communicate effectively across groups and sites. 

  • Perform routine laboratory maintenance and ensure proper equipment function. 

  • Collaborate with facilities or service providers as needed. 

  • Draft and revise SOPs. 

  • Propose and implement process improvements. 

  • Independently troubleshoot issues based on prior experience. 

  • Utilize internal databases effectively. 

  • Collaborate on projects of low to moderate complexity. 

  • Participate in training employees. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

 

Education and Experience: 

Requires a master’s degree with up to 2 years of relevant experience  Or, a bachelor's degree with 2-5 years of relevant experience; Or, an associate degree with 7 or more years of relevant experience 

 

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

  • Strong technical knowledge and ability to troubleshoot routine issues. 

  • Knowledge of multiple laboratory processes or products. 

  • Skills in problem-solving and critical thinking. 

  • Ability to act independently on routine assignments. 

  • Ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple tasks effectively. 

  • Ability to communicate professionally, both written and verbal. 

  • Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail. 

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively. 

 

Working Conditions: 

  • Standard laboratory environment.  

  • May require occasional travel.  

  • Must be able to work typical business hours. 

 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Ability to lift laboratory materials. 

  • Stand for extended periods.  

  • Perform repetitive laboratory motions as required.
