As an Advanced R&D Engineer/Scientist here at Solstice, you will drive the development of cutting-edge technologies, lead critical projects, and ensure Solstice remains a leader in technological advancements.You will report directly to our [Title] and you’ll work out of our [City, State] location on a [Hybrid, On-site, Remote] work schedule.
Responsibilities1. Independently develop and optimize pump-driven two-phase cold plate liquid cooling solutions for high-wattage computing equipment, including system overall design, flow loop layout, parameter matching, and core component selection.
2. Conduct technical research and engineering application of refrigerant phase-change heat transfer, analyze boiling/condensation characteristics, heat transfer efficiency, flow resistance and thermal stability of different refrigerants in closed-loop two-phase cooling systems.
3. Responsible for pre-sales technical support, customer requirement analysis, technical proposal writing, solution presentation and bidding technical document compilation for data center liquid cooling projects.
4. Responsible for demo testing to verify the feasibility of new refrigerant applications and new two-phase cooling structures, promoting HFO application in AIDC field.
5. Track industry cutting-edge two-phase cooling technologies, summarize application experience of pump-driven phase-change cold plate systems, and establish standardized design specifications and engineering guidelines using HFO refrigerant.
6. Support project site technical validation, system commissioning guidance and post-project technical review, ensure the stability and energy-saving performance of phase-change liquid cooling systems in actual data center operation.
Qualifications
1. Master’s degree or above in Thermal Engineering, Refrigeration & Cryogenic Engineering, Fluid Mechanics, Power Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related majors with 5+ years working,or Batchelor degree with 8+ years working
2. 3+ years of solution design or engineering experience in data center liquid cooling, thermal design or refrigeration industry.
3. Proficient in the working principle of pump-driven closed-loop two-phase cooling system and cold plate heat dissipation mechanism, familiar with high-density server cooling scenarios.
4. Prior experience and in-depth understanding of refrigerant phase-change application in cooling systems is highly preferred. Familiar with phase-change heat transfer theory and practical application of HFO/HFC refrigerants in data center cooling.
5. Familiar with CDU system matching and closed-loop liquid cooling cycle system design. Experience in high-power GPU cluster and supercomputing center liquid cooling projects.
6. Familiar with the characteristics of common environmental protection refrigerants, able to evaluate the adaptability, safety and thermal performance of refrigerants applied in two-phase liquid cooling.
7. Good logical thinking, technical writing ability and customer communication capability, able to independently complete technical scheme docking and project technical landing.
8. Strong fast learning capability;
9. Effective communication skills and the ability to work in a multi-cultural global organization are essential;
10. Virtues are required: Optimistic and positive; teamwork spirit; results-oriented; and ambitious to pursue challenging targets;
11. Strong test and analysis experience will be a plus;
12. Fluent in English speaking and writing.

Skills Required
- Master's degree or higher in Thermal Engineering, Refrigeration and Cryogenic Engineering, Fluid Mechanics, Power Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, plus 5 or more years of work experience; alternatively, a bachelor's degree plus 8 or more years of experience.
- At least 3 years of solution design or engineering experience in data center liquid cooling, thermal design, or refrigeration.
- Proficiency with pump-driven closed-loop two-phase cooling systems and cold plate heat dissipation for high-density servers.
- Experience with refrigerant phase-change applications, heat transfer theory, and HFO/HFC refrigerants in data center cooling.
- Experience with CDU system matching, closed-loop liquid cooling cycle design, GPU clusters, or supercomputing center liquid cooling projects.
- Knowledge of environmentally friendly refrigerant characteristics, safety, adaptability, and thermal performance.
- Technical writing, customer communication, solution development, and project technical implementation skills.
- Strong testing and analysis experience.
- Fluent English speaking and writing skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural global organization.
