More about the roleThis is an exciting job opportunity for you to light the way as an Advanced Quality Engineer in Shanghai with Signify.
- Assure Quality and Reliability of new systems and products by taking integral ownership of systems/product quality and the management of the process in development projects through DFSS methodology.
- Understand existing quality issues on similar products and take appropriate measures and control in projects (synthesis of customer returns due to design and process-non quality costs, etc.); Ensure needed improvements are included in design.
- Understand and verify Customer and Business requirements and assist project team to derive CTQs (higher and lower levels) and monitor, test and verify the same in the project. Use DFSS methodology, tools and systems needed to reach Robustness and Quality targets at each level needed: system, sub-system, component levels. Communicate and identify product specification with development team. Deliver the project within the planned timeframe. Use DFSS tracker to monitor progress of projects.
- Ensure the right coverage of the test strategy including quality control (safety, performance, reliability); Contribute to the test plan, especially system based multi-constraints and Accelerated Life tests needed to ensure robustness.
- Evaluate risks during the project through FMEA tool. Formulate a “GO-NOGO” opinion and propose corrective action plans.
- Support quality issues and technical deep dive topics (mainly for electronic components like drivers).
- Support the design team on DFA / DFM and industrialization through control plan derivation.
- Train and coach the team in application of Reliability and DFSS process and tools.
- Contribute to service manual and design manual creation.
- Plan & execute initiatives towards improvement of development process and industry standardization.
- Report the progress of projects (as decided- at MS, monthly etc.), issues etc to all the stakeholders.

- Bachelor’s degree or above in Electronics or related..
- 8 years+ experience in design quality management of power supply or smart control system.
- Result-driven and open-minded individual able to interact in a global organization.
- Fluent in English and Mandarin.
