 As an Advanced Project Engineer, you are responsible for leading the engineering delivery of projects for the team. You will be responsible for coordinating the input of various key internal and external stakeholders ranging from Engineering, Service to customer site employees. You will be responsible for managing delivery of engineering outputs for the project, executed by yourself and other project engineers. Where appropriate, you will assist in sourcing and managing sub-contractors who can assist in delivering specialist engineering consultancy that are outside of Building Automation expertise.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate as lead engineer for a project/s
  • Electronic security systems engineering, implementation, integration, and documentation
  • Delivery of project engineering requirements within budget, scope, and schedule
  • Provision of technical direction and support of project team members, including planning / scheduling and quality assurance
  • Work on requirements and ensure the final design is compliant of the requirement metrics
  • Understanding and implementing Australia and international standards during the design process 
  • Ensure the team operates within the health and safety standards

 

Key Experience & Capabilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics 
  • Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in electronic security
  • Expertise in electronic security systems engineering (hardware and software)
  • A solid understanding of high-end security applications, including CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Detection, Intercom Systems, Integration Platforms, and others
  • Either registered or pursuing professional engineer in QLD ideal
  • Work independently to drive project execution as the key local customer contact
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Analytical and able to work on complexity and under pressure
  • Pro-active, and self-sufficient
  • Health and safety consciousness

Skills Required

  • Registered or pursuing professional engineer registration in Queensland (QLD)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and act as local customer contact to drive project execution
  • Analytical, able to handle complexity and work under pressure
  • Pro-active, self-sufficient, and health and safety conscious
