How you will make an impact:

The Advanced Product Solutions Engineer at Meissner will play a critical role in supporting both pre-sale and post-sale activities to ensure the successful development and implementation of complex technical products used in pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, and personalized medicine manufacturing. Leveraging technical expertise and project management skills, this role will develop customer-driven solutions; provide sales and customer support; contribute to proposal development and feasibility assessments; and lead project execution. The Advanced Product Solutions Engineer requires close collaboration with internal teams, along with direct engagement with customers and suppliers to deliver innovative and effective solutions and support.

  • Lead the development of agile, application-specific solutions by selecting and executing the appropriate design path—platform configuration, supplier-enabled solutions, or custom design. Apply sound engineering judgment to meet technical, timeline, and scalability needs.
  • Lead supplier identification and coordination for complex or customized technical solutions, ensuring alignment with performance, cost, and implementation goals. Cultivate strong, solution-oriented relationships with suppliers to support both current projects and future needs.
  • Drive the requirements gathering process for complex projects, identifying critical constraints and translating customer needs into actionable solution criteria. When applicable, take ownership in developing and reviewing URS, FRS, and DDS documents to drive clarity and alignment across stakeholders.
  • Lead agile feasibility efforts for complex or high-urgency solution requests, rapidly identifying workable paths—or ruling out dead ends—based on key technical and timeline constraints. Design and execute lean testing and experiments (DOE) to evaluate concepts quickly.
  • Manage the cross-functional development of proposals and quotations for custom or complex solutions. Engage with customers to clarify needs and coordinate internally to align technical, operational, and commercial inputs. Develop FRSs and support requirement refinement where appropriate.
