 Honeywell Aerospace’s Advanced Cryogenic Platform (ACP) team is seeking a highly qualified Advanced Physicist to join our Electromagnetics team at our Broomfield, CO location. 

You will contribute to the development of Honeywell Aerospace's next generation solutions by designing, testing, and validating products/processes from prototypes to market. You will be part of a group of highly committed professionals who provide expertise to ensure the success of complex engineering projects and programs while acting as a mentor to more junior scientists. This role also requires partnering with project managers and technical leadership to identify, prioritize, and execute the work required to meet customer deliverables. 

Responsibilities
  • Designing and conducting fundamental experiments in specialized electromagnetic sensing and detection 
  • Analyzing and interpreting results using modeling/simulation tools 
  • Partnering with subject matter experts to design and/or operate cryogenic systems
  • Supporting the design and development of integrated environmental solutions with cryogenics and electromagnetics being key components 
Qualifications

 You Must Have: 

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
  • A passion for and experience with advanced electromagnetic materials, as well as a theoretical understanding of the subject.
  • U.S. citizenship required to obtain and maintain government security clearance 

We Value 

  • Master’s degree in physics or engineering with 3-4 years of experience, or PhD with 0-2 years of experience.
  • Experience with millimeter wave detector technologies
  • Understanding of experimental design to gather the desired data
  • Experience with low temperature cryogenic design, analysis, and experimental systems
  • Demonstrated ability to design, analyze, operate, build, and test complex systems, particularly for cryogenic environments
  • Demonstrated experience with modeling, simulation tools, analytical techniques, and related fields (e.g., Matlab, Mathematica, COMSOL, SolidWorks)
  • Current security clearance for work on government contracts
  • Flexible thinking for an evolving business environment 

The annual base salary for this position is $128,000 - $159,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell Aerospace considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
