General Description:

Advanced Technician needed to assist lab personnel in the day-to-day responsibilities of lab and equipment maintenance. Generate detailed Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to perform daily tasks within the Advanced Packaging group. General activities may include IC packaging, solder bumping, epoxy underfill, and die bonding.


Essential Duties:

Under general supervision, perform tasks including but not limited to:

Assist engineering staff with documentation of new production processes and/or adapt existing production processes for assembly and testing.

Assist in lab equipment maintenance, including scheduling on-site vendor visits for annual calibrations and document maintenance visits.

Coordinate equipment installations with external vendors and on-site Operations teams, including Facilities, Equipment Support, and EH&S.

Set up and operate automatic or semiautomatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation.


Required Skills:

2-5 years of experience in laboratory or similar environment. 

This position requires ability work in a microelectronics assembly lab according to ESD control methods and procedures. 

Must be able to follow detailed instructions with precision, pay attention to detail, and accurately enter data.

Ability to put together reports and present findings to engineering team. 

Good time management, communication, and organizational skills.

Strong computer/software skills using Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.


Required Education:

A.S. Degree in STEM field.

B.S degree is preferred. 


Physical Requirements:

Must be able to work within a lab environment wearing personal protective equipment, which may include ESD apparel, lab coats, safety gloves and goggles.

Walking and/or standing may be required for 70-80% of the day.

Must possess motor skills appropriate to the task.

Must be able to lift/push/pull 30-40 pounds consistently.


Special Requirements:

Current U.S. person or US citizen status is required.

Ability to obtain security clearance is preferred.


Compensation:

The pay range for this position is $36.79 - $44.87 per hour + bonus + benefits.
