JD: Cfd Engg (1 Position- 7c)

The Burner CFD Engineer is responsible for providing Computational Fluid Dynamics technical expertise to execute modeling for new applications and burner product line expansion. The role needs to take ownership of analyzing results, drawing conclusions and suggesting improvements. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • The responsibilities include working with the R&D and Application Engineering teams to model applications and improve new burner technology development time by reducing lengthy iterative testing and field trials.
    • Technical report generation, documentation and progress reporting of CFD modeling results.
    • Work on x-SBG initiatives including structural & thermal analysis as appropriate.

 Basic Qualifications: 

  • 7 + years of overall work experience with CFD modeling software.
    • Bachelor/master’s degree in engineering (Aerospace/Aeronautical/Mechanical/Industrial preferred).
    • Thorough understanding of engineering, thermal and combustion principles.
    • Ability to read drawings, schematics, and understand / translate this into CFD matrix model.
    • Working experience on tools like Ansys Workbench, Fluent, CFX and STARCCM+ simulation.
    • Good understanding of Computation Fluid Dynamics and design optimization.
    • Ability to adjust modeling protocols as needed

  • Ability to work with minimum supervision. 
    • Capable to accept any new challenging tasks and always looking to learn new technology. 
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills. Must be a good communicator of ideas and work requirements.
    • Ability to envision & develop test process improvements.
    • Detail oriented; able to multi-task and stay organized in a dynamic work environment

Skills Required
