As a Logistics Procurement professional, you will play a key role in developing and executing sourcing strategies for transport, warehousing, and related logistics services for finished goods and spare parts. Working at the intersection of procurement, supply chain, and operations, you will drive cost efficiency, service excellence, and compliance through strategic supplier partnerships. You will lead supplier selection, contract negotiations, performance management, and continuous improvement initiatives while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to support business growth and operational success.

This role can be performed remotely from anywhere within Europe. To build strong relationships and drive business success, the role also involves significant travel across the region.

Responsibilities
  • Developing and implementing procurement strategies for logistics categories including transportation, warehousing, freight, and third-party logistics services.
  • Leading supplier sourcing, tendering, evaluation, and contract award processes to secure the best value and service outcomes.
  • Negotiating commercial terms, pricing, service level agreements, and contract conditions with suppliers.
  • Managing supplier performance through KPIs, business reviews, and corrective action plans.
  • Identifying and delivering cost-saving opportunities, process efficiencies, and supply risk mitigation actions.
  • Collaborating with operations, planning, finance, and legal teams to align procurement activities with business needs and compliance requirements.
  • Monitoring market trends, capacity constraints, fuel and freight cost drivers, and supplier capabilities to inform sourcing decisions.
  • Ensuring procurement activities comply with company policy, ethical sourcing standards, and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and reporting through spend analysis and procurement performance dashboards.
  • Leading or coaching team members where applicable and promoting Lean continuous improvement across procurement processes.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Procurement, or a related field.
  • Typically 5–8 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain, with significant exposure to logistics categories.
  • Demonstrated experience negotiating supplier contracts and managing commercial relationships.
  • Experience with tendering, category management, supplier performance management, and cost analysis.
  • Knowledge of freight, transport, warehousing, and logistics service models across regional or international operations is preferred.
  • Professional certification such as CIPS, CPSM, or equivalent is advantageous.
  • Experience using SAP ERP, procurement, and analytics tools for spend reporting and sourcing activities.
  • Strong negotiation, supplier management, and contract management skills.
  • Commercial acumen with the ability to balance cost, quality, service, and risk.
  • Excellent analytical skills, including spend analysis and KPI interpretation.
  • Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and procurement or ERP systems.
