Mechanical Engineering group at WITEC supports a multitude of business units across the globe and various projects/product lines, in the mechanical design, drawing generation and finite element (FE) calculation, and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) areas.  Being a keystone in this team, the incumbent is sought, who can provide Fluid mechanics and heat transfer calculations, CFD simulations, and design solutions for business problems & new product development.

 

We are looking for someone, who:

 

  • Strong in Fluid Mechanics, Heat Transfer methods, Mixed Mode Fluid – Thermal calculations fundamentals; with an experience of 4-6 years in Commercial CFD tools – Ansys Fluent, CFX, ICEM CFD, Ansys Workbench
  • An ability to simulate Conjugate Heat Transfer, External Aerodynamics, Turbomachinery, Multiple Reference Frames on products like Trains, Heat Exchangers, Electronics Cooling, Equipment Ventilation, HVAC systems, Brake Discs in both steady and transient schemes
  • An ability to scale up a problem statement into simulation requirements and vice-versa
  • Does Verification of CFD results using hand calculations and first principles
  • Is confident in Problem simplification and optimizing the CFD simulations – from CAD models to post processing
  • Should be able to clearly articulate the desired changes/enhancements and meshing techniques
  • Has a Research outlook - to pursue alternate methods and studies, while identifying research areas in simulations
  • Is Strong in documentation and developing standards for the methods
  • Can perform Benchmarking studies and has an ability to draw CFD- Experimental methods calibration
  • Has an Ability to translate CFD requirements to stakeholders from different teams
  • Has an Innovative mindset – and a strong desire to create new products, processes and find alternatives

  • 8+ yrs. experience in working with Global teams in MNC matrix organization
  • Knowledge on Railway products working will be a plus. Knowledge in parallel industrial domains desired
  • Ability to work independently and meet schedule, cost and quality requirements

  • Strong presentation skills
