About the Role
As a System Test engineer you work with appropriate stakeholders globally to plan, specify, test, document, and refine a perfected end-user experience.
What You Will Do
As System Test Engineer you will be responsible for reporting the quality of the development-related results- and quality-mind driven holistic user experience (UX) testing, validation and qualification within the global execution team located in North America, Europe, India and China.
Supporting in coordination of qualification tasks, results, tools and methods across the global test team.
Maintain and improve the global UX test workflow and procedures for continuous UX quality improvements.
Creation and maintenance UX test cases based on specifications and requirements.
Supporting in planning, execution and reporting of the holistic UX testing globally of both release testing and test drives for continuous UX improvements.
Documentation, reproduction and verification of UX errors to be reported in selected ticket handling tool.
Create and maintain database for archiving logs/traces and analysis.
Review and improve test results/suites from products as quality gate, to get a high delivery quality for each product and to define according the AutoOne UX test scope.
Supporting in definition of the cyclic AutoOne Release Version.
Update and maintaining of cars and benches depending on AutoOne release definitions.
Close collaboration with component management.
What You Need to be Successful
5+ years of experience working within product testing and qualification related to product development.
Solid experience and expertise within automotive qualification tools and methods.
Strong understanding of perceived holistic user experiences.
Quality-minded questioning the ordinary.
Bachelor or Master in Electrical Engineering, Computer Sciences or a related technical discipline.
Knowledge in Hardware and Software of Automotive systems (Telematics, Infotainment, Amplifiers) as well as bus systems (PCIe, USB) and automotive networking (MOST, CAN, etc.), automotive diagnosis and flash tools.
Effective written and verbal English communications skills.
Results- oriented behavior.
Team oriented.
Bonus Points if you Have
Experience within preventive quality, including quality tools like FMEA, functional block analysis, 8-Ds, 5-Why and fishbone diagram.
Experience from working with automotive customers.
What Makes You Eligible
Be willing to travel up to 20%, domestic and international travel .
This position requires the use of a HARMAN or customer-owned vehicle. As such, any offer of employment will be contingent upon having a clean driving record, which will be evaluated and determined in HARMAN’s sole discretion, no more than 4 active points for moving violations (issued by any motor vehicle agency), and no references to operating a vehicle under the influence of controlled substances within the last 10 years.
