Job Description: Advanced Electrical Engineer

We are seeking an Advanced Electrical Engineer for the Design and Development group supporting aerospace programs, including electromechanical actuators, Solenoid valves, electric motors, and motor drives. Responsibilities include task planning, schedule and estimate preparation, technical problem resolution with customers, and participation in design reviews with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline from a reputed university; IITs, IISc, or NITs preferred.
  • 6–8 years of relevant industry experience in the design, analysis, and development of low-frequency electromagnetic devices or machines.
  • Thorough knowledge of electromagnetic devices, including electric machines, solenoids, sensors, transformers, and motor drives.
  • Working knowledge of first-principles design, development, and analysis of electric machines, including axial flux motors, radial flux BLDC motors, and switched reluctance motors.
  • Knowledge of magnetic sensors such as LVDTs and/or torque motors will be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of power electronic devices, converters, drives, power supplies and control electronics is desirable.
  • Familiarity with electromagnetic design simulation tools such as Ansys Maxwell, RMxprt, and Motor-CAD.
  • Familiarity with ANSYS, NX, PSIM, PSPICE, Mathcad, and MATLAB simulation tools is a plus.
  • Experience working as part of a design team, with awareness of product lifecycle processes, manufacturing, functional testing, and qualification testing.
  • Ability to independently take design ownership from concept through qualification.
  • Familiarity with Six Sigma tools and structured problem-solving methods.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with employees and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong planning skills, collaborative mindset, and self-starter attitude.
  • Strategic thinking capability, with the ability to contribute innovative ideas that support long-term product and business impact.
