Advanced Software Engineer for ADAS Algorithm Development
Your role
Aptiv's Advanced Safety group pioneered the sensors, software, and systems that empower Adaptive Cruise Control, Collision Warning, Emergency Brake Assist, and Lane Keeping systems widely available to consumers today and we continue to stretch the technology envelope with 360-degree sensing and advanced algorithms piloting automated vehicles.
This role is part of the Autonomy Software – Algorithm Development team where you will be working closely with the platform team and the customer project teams to deliver the algorithm stack within the customer project.
In particular you will be responsible for:
Responsibilities:
Design, develop and test ADAS algorithms for features such as lane detection, adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, and traffic sign recognition.
Collaborate with perception, motion planning, and control teams to ensure seamless integration of ADAS features
Design, integrate, test and release algorithms to internal and external customers
Analyze and optimize algorithm performance using data from various sensors, including cameras, radar, lidar, and ultrasonic sensors
Develop and maintain software tools and scripts for data analysis, visualization, and testing
Work with the Vehicle test team to tune the performance of algo for vehicle line.
Investigate and resolve issues related to ADAS algorithm performance, collaborating with cross-functional teams as needed.
Leading the team technically.
Your Background
6 to 8 years' experience in ADAS Algorithm development.
Advanced experience in Autosar Davinci Developer and Configurator.
Masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics or related degree field
Critical & proactive thinker with excellent problem-solving, communication and teamwork skills
Good understanding of ASPICE
Experience with version control and issue tracking on large collaborative projects (Plastic, Git, Gerrit, Polarion,Jira, Jenkins or similar)
Flexibility to work at any time on project need.
Experience with Autosar Davinci Developer and Configurator.
Experience in the doing ARXML integration and resolving the issues in the configurator.
Experience in resolving Rte changes merge to Gerrit.
Experience in Python scripting.
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years' experience in Automotive Embedded Software Development
Familiar with communication protocols like CAN, Flexray, Ethernet
Knowledge of embedded operating systems / software stacks (Autosar)
Prior experience with CI/CD or build management. (eg: CMake/Bazel)
Experience in code profiling and optimization
Experience in DevOps tools
SWE.6 testing using the Canoe and Lauterbach debugger tool.
Able to perform the SWE.1 to SWE.6 activities.
