Job SummaryCareview Transitional Care of Weston is seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) who is a RN to support the Director of Nursing in overseeing the daily operations of the nursing department. This leadership role plays a key part in ensuring quality resident care, regulatory compliance, and staff development within our skilled nursing facility. The ADON will help lead the clinical team while promoting a culture of excellence, accountability, and compassion.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Director of Nursing with daily clinical operations and overall management of nursing service
- Supervise, mentor, and support nursing staff including RNs, LVNs, and STNA
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and standards of care
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, training, and performance evaluations of nursing staff
- Monitor and improve quality measures, infection control, and resident outcomes
- Assist with staff scheduling to ensure appropriate coverage and quality care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate resident care plan
- Support surveys, audits, and quality assurance/performance improvement (QAPI) initiative
- Address resident, family, and staff concerns in a timely and professional manner
- Step in to provide clinical support on the floor as needed
Requirements
- Current and active RN license (required)
- Minimum of 2+ years of nursing experience, with leadership experience preferred
- Previous experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with EMR systems and clinical documentation
