Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Adobe AEM Expert to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) solutions for our enterprise-level retail and e-commerce projects. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in AEM, combined with a strong understanding of complex system integrations, custom component development, and advanced content management strategies. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-performance digital experiences for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead AEM Strategy and Architecture: Design and architect AEM-based solutions, ensuring they are scalable, high-performance, and aligned with business requirements. Provide thought leadership in AEM architecture, performance optimization, and complex integrations.
- Advanced Custom Development: Lead the development of custom AEM components, templates, and workflows. Implement advanced AEM features, including multi-site management, multilingual support, and integration with backend systems such as Magento, SAP, CRMs, and third-party platforms.
- System Integration & Data Flow Management: Drive AEM integrations with other enterprise systems such as SAP, Magento, and external APIs. Ensure seamless data flow and content management across various systems, delivering a unified experience.
- Performance Tuning & Optimization: Optimize AEM implementations for speed, scalability, and reliability. Implement best practices for caching, content delivery, and load balancing to ensure optimal performance in high-traffic environments.
- End-to-End Solution Delivery: Oversee the end-to-end delivery of AEM solutions, from initial requirements gathering through to deployment and ongoing maintenance. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and meet client expectations.
- Collaboration & Mentorship: Mentor junior developers and team members on AEM best practices. Foster a collaborative environment across technical teams, ensuring knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
- Client & Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with business stakeholders, product managers, and UX/UI designers to understand business needs and ensure that AEM solutions meet strategic goals. Present technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders in a clear, understandable manner.
- Agile Project Management: Lead Agile development teams, manage backlogs, and ensure successful project delivery using JIRA. Drive sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews to ensure efficient development cycles.
- Risk Management & Issue Resolution: Proactively identify potential risks and issues, providing timely resolution or mitigation strategies. Ensure that solutions meet both business and technical requirements.
- Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Stay ahead of industry trends and developments related to AEM and digital experience platforms. Propose and implement improvements to AEM setups, workflows, and technologies.
- Technical Documentation: Ensure that all AEM solutions are well-documented, including architecture diagrams, component libraries, integration specifications, and deployment procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- AEM Expertise: Minimum of 5-7 years of hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), including designing and developing custom AEM components, workflows, and integrations.
- Advanced Java & J2EE Knowledge: Deep expertise in Java and J2EE with hands-on experience in AEM-based application development and integration.
- Complex Integrations: Strong experience in integrating AEM with enterprise systems such as Magento, SAP, CRMs, and external APIs. Familiarity with data flow management, API integrations, and third-party services.
- Performance Optimization: Expertise in AEM performance tuning, including caching, content delivery, and implementing best practices to ensure high availability and scalability.
- Version Control & CI/CD: Experience with version control tools such as Git, and CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and deployment.
- Agile Methodologies: Proven experience working in Agile development environments, managing backlogs, and delivering solutions through iterative sprints. Proficient with JIRA for task management and tracking.
- Leadership & Mentorship: Strong leadership skills, with the ability to mentor junior developers and guide teams to deliver high-quality AEM solutions.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Ability to explain solutions and issues clearly and concisely.
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Adobe AEM certifications are highly desirable.
Preferred Skills:
- Cloud Experience: Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud to deploy and manage AEM instances.
- Retail & E-Commerce Knowledge: Experience working with AEM in retail or e-commerce environments, particularly in integrating with platforms like Magento and SAP.
- Personalization & Targeting: Experience with Adobe Target and Adobe Analytics for creating personalized content and tracking user interactions across digital experiences.
- DevOps Practices: Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for automating deployments and ensuring a smooth delivery pipeline.
- Security Best Practices: Understanding of security principles, especially in the context of AEM, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
