What is the opportunity?
RBC Wealth Management has provided trusted advice and wealth management solution to individuals, families and institutions globally with a full suite of banking, investment, trust, asset management and other wealth management solutions. The team in Malaysia is responsible for ensuring executions excellence in supporting Wealth Management Operations International, while continually evolving and driving operational effectiveness in support of the business growth strategy.
This role is an integral part of the Settlements & Transition team, with a primary focus on continuously reviewing, researching, verifying, and rectifying securities transactions. The key objective is to ensure the highest standards of accuracy and consistency in settlements processes, facilitating efficient automation within the settlements domain and promoting operational excellence in securities operations.
This role also requires working within a team environment, encouraging feedback to ensure a robust volume intensive working processes, focusing on accuracy, are continually enhanced and developed to meet various Business needs and new legislation. This role will support Channel Island region with working hours between 3pm and 12am or 4pm and 1am (daylight saving hours).
What will you do?
- Responsible for timely and accurate end to end processing of Settlements & Transition accordingly to defined SLAs
- Products covered: Equity/Shares, Fixed Income/Bond, Structured Product
- Review process flows and initiate process improvements via RPA, Macro and other tools with timely updates
- Participate in strategic initiatives, testing and implementation by having strong collaboration with team members/Oversight team
- Actively communicate with Oversight Team to resolve issues faced and measures taken to avoid recurrence
- Ensure that all transactions are processed in accordance to procedure
- Active identification of incorrect transaction processing and provide suggestion to improve accuracy via reviews on re-occurring problems, and gaps with possible solutions to the Manager/team accordingly
- Provide relief support and other duties assigned and cross train on all functions performed within the team and across department
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Degree in Business, Finance or related discipline preferred
- Self-motivated and able to work under pressure in a dynamic and fast paced environment
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong analytical skills and attention to details
- A growth mindset and always strive for excellence
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply
Nice-to-have
- Familiar with Milvus, and SWIFT standards
- Fast learner for new processing tasks assigned
- Be able to work with minimal supervision
- Familiarity with or prior experience in VBA would be advantageous
