Job Summary

The Executive Director (LNFA) leads the operational, clinical, and financial performance of the Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) by driving strong EBITDAR results, census growth, and high‑quality resident care. This role builds a high‑performance culture, strengthens regulatory readiness, and develops strategic relationships that expand market share and elevate the resident and family experience. The Executive Director ensures compliance with state and federal regulations while fostering a culture of service excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement. This role is ideal for an experienced Nursing Home Administrator (NHA/LNFA) with a strong background in skilled nursing facility operations, census growth, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Current, valid Texas Nursing Home Administrator license (LNFA) required

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as an LNFA in a Skilled Nursing Facility

• Proven ability to achieve or exceed EBITDAR budgets and financial performance targets

• Demonstrated success in census development and referral relationship management

• Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations governing nursing home operations

• Comprehensive understanding of SNF reimbursement models across multiple payors

• Successful track record of regulatory and quality inspections

• Exceptional leadership, communication, and customer service skills

• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with a strong sense of urgency

 

Essential Functions

• Deliver strong EBITDAR performance through disciplined revenue management, cost control, and labor optimization

• Champion a service‑excellence culture for residents, families, visitors, and staff

• Analyze financial reports and key performance indicators (KPIs); identify trends and implement corrective actions

• Drive census growth and occupancy through strategic marketing, referral development, and hospital/ACO engagement

• Build and strengthen relationships with hospitals, physicians, case managers, and other referral sources

• Ensure a rapid, seamless admissions process that improves conversion rates and positions the facility as a preferred provider

• Achieve positive survey outcomes through proactive oversight of survey readiness, survey response, and timely execution of Plans of Correction (POCs)

• Ensure delivery of compassionate, resident‑centered care that meets or exceeds clinical, regulatory, and quality standards

• Foster a culture of safety, dignity, and service excellence for residents and families

• Proactively address resident and family concerns, ensuring timely resolution and communication

• Build and lead a high‑performing, accountable management team aligned to facility outcomes

• Strengthen employee engagement, communication, and recognition to reduce turnover and improve stability

• Collaborate with the Director of Nursing and interdisciplinary team to improve quality measures, financial outcomes, and resident satisfaction

• Maintain a proactive risk‑management posture through strong systems oversight, incident management, and timely reporting

• Lead Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives to improve outcomes, reduce rehospitalizations, and meet quality‑based reimbursement targets

• Oversee interdisciplinary collaboration for timely discharge planning and strong care transitions

• Monitor accounts receivable aging to maintain strong revenue cycle performance

• Represent the facility at community events and partnerships to support brand visibility and referral growth

• Provide strong, visible leadership to all department managers and staff

• Recruit, develop, and retain high‑performing leadership and staff

• Promote employee engagement, accountability, and professional development

 

Continuing Education

• Attend continuing education programs as necessary to maintain current licensure and stay informed on regulatory changes and best practices.
