What’s the role?
Within this exciting opportunity, you will be assisting Gen II in carrying out its responsibilities under the depositary requirements of the Alternative Investment Fund Management Directive (AIFMD), namely cash flow monitoring, record keeping and verification of assets and general oversight.
What you’ll be doing
- Undertake daily cash flow monitoring of client bank accounts
- Maintain asset registers and review of ownership documentation of those assets
- Review of drawdowns and distributions
- Quarterly analysis of management account information and reconciliations
- Reconciliations of monthly cash activity
- Corresponding with clients and intermediaries
- Assisting more senior staff with their client portfolio
- Assisting with the preparation of client reports
- Organising own client portfolio, prioritising workload and dealing with matters in a timely manner
- Assisting with review of invoices
- Daily input of time on timesheet
The ideal background for this role:
- Sound academic background (preferably Finance/Accounting related)
- Preference for candidate to be studying towards or willingness to study for a professional qualification such as:
- Certificate or Diploma in Fund Administration
- CISI – Foundation
- Preferred experience working in Depositary or Fund Administration
- Understanding of the finance industry and regulatory requirements in which we operate
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft office, including Excel and Word
Role Location/Hybrid Schedule
This role is based in our Southampton office. Although the nature of most of the roles within Gen II cannot be classed as totally flexible, there is scope in some cases for a form of Agile Working. The different ways in which Agile Working can be undertaken is dependent on the demands and needs of the business, the office space available and the individual’s preferences and circumstances.
