Job Description

    Purpose of the Job

    Gain hands-on exposure to the Capital Markets industry while supporting a wide range of activities across SPV administration, Corporate Trust, Securitisation and Fiduciary Services. Working closely with colleagues in Mauritius and London, you'll contribute to key operational processes that help global financial institution clients meet their business and regulatory obligations. This role offers a unique opportunity to build your knowledge of capital markets products, cash management processes, financial reporting and entity administration, while developing valuable technical and stakeholder management skills in a collaborative international environment.

    Main Responsibilities

    • Contribute to the smooth operation of Capital Markets activities by supporting data management, reconciliations and transactional administration processes.
    • Assist with cash management and payment processing activities, helping to ensure transactions and queries are handled accurately and efficiently.
    • Maintain and update operational data across core systems, supporting the integrity and completeness of client and transaction records.
    • Work closely with accounting teams by coordinating information required for financial reporting, management reporting and audit activities.
    • Support billing, accounts receivable and portfolio management processes to help maintain effective financial oversight.
    • Assist with statutory filings, client data reviews and administrative requirements, ensuring activities are completed in line with regulatory and internal standards.
    • Build an understanding of Capital Markets products, regulatory obligations and operational controls, escalating risks or issues where appropriate.
    • Collaborate with colleagues across jurisdictions on projects, process improvements and business initiatives that support the continued growth of the Capital Markets service line.

    Qualifications

    Knowledge, skills and experience

    • Degree educated and/or studying towards a relevant professional qualification such as CGI/ICSA, ACCA or equivalent; candidates with relevant practical experience will also be considered.
    • 1-2 years' experience within financial services, banking operations, capital markets, corporate trust, professional services or a related environment.
    • Good understanding of working within a regulated and controlled environment, with a strong focus on accuracy, governance and operational excellence.
    • Strong Excel and systems skills; exposure to platforms such as eFront, NAV, Solvas, Loan IQ or similar financial systems would be advantageous.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across teams and stakeholders.
    • Organised, adaptable and solutions-oriented, with a keen interest in developing a career within Capital Markets and financial services.

    Skills Required
