About Us

The North Carolina Community College System (System Office) is a statewide network of 58 public community colleges. The system enrolls over 500,000 students annually. Description of Work

The Administrative Specialist position is responsible for administrative and business services support for the Student Services unit. The position will engage internal and external stakeholders, interpret and implement project guidelines and procedures, resolve problems, manage special projects, support
program activities and provide business services support to the unit.

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for collaborating with internal teams, external stakeholders, and leadership. Ability to provide technical support and explain technical data concepts to non-technical audiences.
 

Organizational Skills:

  • Meticulous attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and program compliance requirements.
  • Applies new skills and concepts quickly and displays a willingness to learn and improve

Analytical Skills:

  • Ability to interpret funding guidelines, analyze budgets, and monitor project outcomes.
  • Superior working knowledge of office applications and online collaboration tools
  • Demonstrated experience with troubleshooting data issues, identifying patterns, and developing effective solutions.

High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and two years of related administrative experience;

or equivalent combination of education and experience.
