Description of Work

This position provides clerical and administrative support to the staff of Professional Services. This includes the following Departments: Activities, Psychology, and Rehabilitation Services. This position will help develop, review, scan, preview, type and reproduce departmental and administrative procedures/plans geared toward the specific disciplines within the department and/or facility. Work in the form of transcribing, typing, reviewing/scanning for appropriate language/grammar will be completed for the various disciplines served. This position will provide considerable clerical and administrative support through the use of office technology utilizing a great deal of independence in the selection and presentation of various data independently developed and/or requested from others.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences

Recruitment Range: $39,244 to $68,679

  • Advanced Microsoft Office Proficiency demonstrated experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint to create reports, maintain databases, track data, and prepare professional correspondence.

  • Document Editing and Proofreading Skills experience reviewing, proofreading, and formatting reports, policies, procedures, and correspondence for accuracy, grammar, punctuation, and consistency.

  • Administrative Support Skills ability to provide administrative or clerical support in a professional office environment, including document preparation, records management, scheduling, and customer service.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain organized filing systems (electronic and paper), meet deadlines, and work independently with minimal supervision.

Longleaf Neuro-Medical Treatment Center (LNMTC), located in Wilson, NC, is a state-operated certified Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF). With a staff of about 520, LNMTC provides support to approximately 200 residents with complex medical needs and/or co-existing neuro-cognitive disorders.

THIS POSITION IS DESIGNATED MANDATORY AND MUST REPORT OR STAY OVER DURING ADVERSE WEATHEREVENTS OR OTHER EMERGENCIES.
