Administrative Image Support

ASP Web Solutions, LLC is looking for a Administrative Image Support to join our team in Portsmouth, VA. This person is responsible for day-to-day on-site operations and maintenance of the diagnostic, quality control, and clinical workstations that are included in the PACS. 

The ideal candidate will have a broad technical background, a solid understanding of applicable analytics, and a natural curiosity for producing effective solutions. This person is patient, has excellent time-management skills, and practices of effective communication style.

Responsibilities: 

• Image Processing and Management:
  • Importing, exporting, and archiving images. 
  • Ensuring image quality and integrity. 
  • Managing and organizing image data within Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) or other relevant systems. 
  • Processing requests for image duplication, release, or deletion. 
• Support and Communication:
  • Providing technical support to users of imaging systems. 
  • Responding to inquiries and resolving issues related to image management. 
  • Communicating with physicians and other staff regarding imaging procedures and results. 
• Administrative Tasks:
  • Maintaining records and documentation related to images. 
  • Assisting with data entry and retrieval. 
  • Managing phone calls and emails related to imaging inquiries. 
  • Assisting with the implementation and support of medical imaging applications, information systems, software, and radiology daily. 

Requirements:

• High School Diploma is required
• Certifications in healthcare IT or medical imaging systems can be advantageous. 
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a healthcare or research setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and imaging procedures is beneficial.
• Relevant certifications or training in image management or healthcare information technology may be required.
