Lutheran Services Carolinas is recruiting an Administrative Assistant, reporting directly to the Executive Assistant. This is an essential role representing the organization; the Ideal candidate for this position must be professional and cordial with visitors, residents and clients, business contacts and other teammates. Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, clerical and administrative procedures and systems, and prior office experience are required.

Essential Functions:

1.Receptionist duties include answering the phone, welcoming visitors to the building, and   processing incoming mail, donations and deliveries.

2. Manage complex multi-step projects and processes effectively and with attention to detail, ensuring that established deadlines and expected outcomes are met.

3. Ability to write, edit and produce routine emails, correspondence, and other LSC materials.

4. Maintain updated files, lists, and procedures assigned for the use of the administrative support team in meeting its objectives.

5. Schedule meetings/appointments through Outlook and/or various online scheduling programs.

6. Provide support for scheduled meetings to include room and AV equipment setup and catering arrangements as assigned.

7. Perform other duties as deemed necessary for the orderly operation of LSC.

Qualifications

Qualifications

Education: High School diploma.

Experience: Minimum of two years of office experience. Experience with Microsoft Office Programs (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, and etc.)

Preferences: Three years of previous progressive office experience. Two-year associate degree in office technology or its equivalent; and/or a combination of schooling and experience in a related field.

Specific skills/abilities: Proficiency with computers and Microsoft office software.  Operation of basic office equipment including copiers, printers, postage machine, and telephone equipment. Ability to learn and utilize other software programs as needed.

Knowledge of clerical and administrative procedures and systems. Proven ability to communicate in English language. Maintain confidentiality with information received.
