Job Description
Position SummaryThe Administrative Assistant will provide comprehensive administrative support to attorneys and paralegals within Brookfield Properties’ Legal department. This role is responsible for assisting with document preparation, scheduling, file management, and other essential administrative functions to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality legal services. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced legal environment.
Responsibilities- Prepare and revise leases, lease-related documents (i.e., amendments, extension agreements, termination agreements, letter agreements), and other documents at the direction of attorneys and paralegals. Facilitate correspondence relating to leases, amendments, and other legal documents both internally and externally, as directed.
- Monitor and organize workflow as assigned.
- Work on special Legal Department projects as assigned or initiate special projects
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED Required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an administrative support role.
- Collaborative and dependable professional with a strong work ethic, consistently demonstrating accountability, integrity, and sound judgment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software applications.
- Experience with document management systems such as Net Documents is preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently, juggle multiple projects with appropriate prioritization, adhere to quick deadlines, and adapt to evolving circumstances.
- Highly organized and project-focused professional with strong decision-making abilities.
- Excellent business writing and verbal communication skills.
Compensation
- Salary type: Non-Exempt
- Pay Frequency: Bi-weekly
- Hourly Pay Range: $24.00-$31.25
- Annual Bonus: 4%
