Riverway Clinic is looking to hire an Administrative Assistant to join our team in Anoka! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day. 


Position Summary:

Responsible for providing confidential support to the Clinic and Administrative Services in accordance with departmental standards. This position develops and maintains relationships with business associates and vendors. Independently applies analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve business issues. Additionally, this position assists with budget management, special projects, inventory, maintenance of files and other responsibilities to ensure efficient operation of the department.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Performs a variety of administrative and clinical tasks to support the department and site functions. This includes copying, maintaining accurate files and records, and arranging meetings and events.
  • Daily balancing of POS payments
  • Accounts payable and other income invoice coding, authorization, and follow up
  • Maintaining of online policies and procedures
  • Regional meeting schedule maintenance
  • Coordinates requests for depositions
  • Investigates, resolves and coordinates building needs and issues
  • Processes death certificates through MDH
  • Maintains office equipment and supplies
  • Responsible for financial report review for error detection, reporting problem and helps investigate problems or concerns to work toward resolution
  • Assists in the annual budget process and year end close
  • Creates monthly clinic overview reports.
  • Works collaboratively with Physician Services to ensure provider credentials, enrollment and licensure are up to date
  • Manages ordering of office supplies, linens, pagers etc.
  • Responsible for a variety of administrative projects requiring independent judgment and action
  • Supports Clinic Supervisors, Human Resources and payroll
  • Establishes and maintains excellent working relationships with vendors
  • Establishes and maintains excellent working relationships with staff and leadership within Riverway Clinics and the Northwest Region
  • Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Support the Clinic Assistant functions and provides coverage as needed
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Work Schedule:

Monday – Friday 8:00AM – 5:00PM


Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • 2+ years of medical or administrative secretarial experience
  • Working knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Strong computer competencies with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio

  • Excellent organization skills 
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to operate various office equipment
  • Establishes priorities.
  • Ability to work independently and problem solve with minimal supervision.
