Position Summary:
Tidal Basin is actively supporting our clients and local communities with various needs and has job opportunities available to support their recovery initiatives. We currently have an immediate need for an Administrative Assistant. The Administrative Assistant will report to the Project Manager.
Job Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Responsible for maintaining administrative files
- Develops, maintains, and updates database programs
- Gathers and analyzes information
- Updating appeal tracking documents with dates and status changes
- Following up with applicants and assigned DARs when due dates are coming up to establish positive contact regarding the deadline
- Setting up appeal folders and capturing relevant documents there
- Reviewing incoming FEMA Letters to identify appealable denials and partial approvals
- Proofreading draft memos for spelling, grammar, etc. (not policy substance).
- Prepares letters for programs
- Assist with time tracking
- Performs financial audits or reviews, process bills/voucher, reimbursement requests, and receivables
- Produce all briefing and training materials
- Monitor travel documentation
- Produce and update reports
- Performs other administrative tasks
Required Skills and Competencies
- Ability to communicate clearly and appropriately over the phone and in writing
- Must have exceptional organizational skills
- Ability to create word documents, spreadsheets, and various documents
- Ability to learn new computer applications that include video conferencing on various platforms
- Experience and/or exposure to Grants Portal.
Required Education and Experience:
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- Must have at least one (1) year of experience as an Administrative Assistant.
