Summary:
Barr is seeking an administrative assistant for our Denver office to be the first point of contact for clients and vendors and work closely with office staff. The position will provide a welcoming professional environment in our Downtown Denver office where many staff members work a hybrid schedule. This role is well-suited for someone skilled at creating effective relationships with staff and service providers and passionate about providing excellent client service.
Responsibilities will include:

Acts as the main point of contact for clients and visitors by coordinating badge access, managing visitor schedules, and assisting with office space related needs

Assists with keeping conference rooms, shared areas, and kitchen areas tidy

Provides support to other Barr locations by meeting with office leaders to understand facility, project, and staffing needs

Helps coordinate office social events such as happy hours, summer parties, and other activities

Orders and arranges delivery or pick-up of food for office events

Assists with the tracking and ordering of office supplies, food supplies, and equipment

Provides logistical support for meetings and conference calls
-
Ships and receives packages, coordinating with FedEx when needed

Provides project support by coordinating the production and delivery of major work products

Supports staffing interviews and new hire integrations

Prepares and edits reports and other technical documents

Helps with the setup, maintenance, and organization of project files

Develops visual presentation materials and takes meeting minutes, as needed

Monitors work orders and budgets
Minimum Qualifications:
-
Three years of experience as a receptionist, administrative assistant, or a related position
-
Ability to maintain a regular work schedule of 8:00 a.m.—5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday at Barr’s Downtown Denver office

Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and employees

Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and familiarity with Adobe Acrobat

Effective task management and self-initiative with a high attention to detail

Exceptional organizational skills
-
Ability to occasionally lift and carry 40 pounds safely

Willingness to adjust schedule on occasion, when needed to meet company needs

Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship from Barr, now or in the future
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Five or more years of related experience
-
Post-high school training in a related area
-
Experience preparing meeting materials
-
Deltek Vantagepoint experience
-
Experience managing engineering documents and databases
-
Experience with MS Project or a similar software
-
Possession of a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
This position is based in our Denver office and requires a Monday through Friday, in-office work schedule.

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $21.00—26.00/hour. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors. Employees in this position may also be eligible for a discretionary cash bonus. Our compensation comes in more ways than traditional base salary, and we believe that when all those elements are combined, our compensation is a competitive part of the total value proposition of working at Barr.
