Job Details:

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support for pharmacy staff including preparation of correspondence, contacting patients, as well as screening incoming phone calls.

  • Follow up on return of requested documents from medical offices.

  • Contribute to general billing and collections process

  • Distribute incoming mail and coordinate outgoing mail via postal service and independent carriers as needed.

  • File documents and maintain patient’s electronic medical records.

  • Perform general administrative duties as needed.

  • Participate in any continuing education and in-services as requested by management.

  • Responsible for knowing and following policies and procedures.

  • Maintain the confidentiality of patients and their personal information at all times.

  • Perform other duties as directed by supervisor.

 

Skills & Abilities

  • Excellent interpersonal skills that would allow the coordination of multiple contacts and personalities, while maintaining all efforts to advocate on behalf patient care and work cooperatively with all.

  • Excellent, professional verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong computer knowledge; with working skills in Windows, Excel, Word and other related programs.

  • Ability to demonstrate organizational skills in a fast paced, sometimes unstructured, environment.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy, ability to multi-task, and ability to prioritize competing deadlines in a fast paced environment.

  • Ability to work in a team environment, cooperate with all departments within the home infusion center and handle multiple tasks.

  • Working knowledge of medical terminology.
