Madrigal Pharmaceuticals is seeking a highly organized and proactive Administrative Assistant to provide comprehensive administrative support to the Legal & Compliance organization. This role will serve as a trusted partner to department leaders and team members, helping ensure the efficient coordination of meetings, communications, travel, documentation, and departmental activities.

The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and communication skills, exercise discretion when handling confidential information, and demonstrate the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This individual will play a key role in supporting day-to-day operations and enabling the Legal & Compliance team to achieve its objectives.

 Position Responsibilities

  • The key responsibilities for this role include:
  • Provide administrative support to Legal & Compliance leadership and team members, ensuring efficient day-to-day operations
  • Manage calendars, schedule meetings, coordinate appointments, and resolve scheduling conflicts across multiple stakeholders
  • Coordinate domestic and international travel arrangements and assist with related logistics
  • Prepare, organize, and distribute meeting materials, presentations, agendas, and supporting documentation
  • Support the planning and execution of team meetings, training sessions, conferences, and special events
  • Draft, proofread, and manage correspondence, including communications on behalf of department leaders as appropriate
  • Screen and prioritize phone calls, emails, and other inquiries, ensuring timely responses and follow-up
  • Maintain electronic files, records, and departmental documentation in accordance with company policies and confidentiality requirements
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with the highest level of professionalism and discretion
  • Conduct research, gather information, and prepare reports, presentations, and other materials as needed
  • Assist with invoice processing, expense reporting, purchase requisitions, and other administrative transactions, as applicable
  • Support departmental projects and initiatives, including tracking action items, deadlines, and deliverables
  • Partner effectively with internal stakeholders and external vendors to facilitate smooth execution of business activities
  • Perform additional administrative duties and special projects as assigned

Education & Experience

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree required
  • 3+ years of administrative support experience, preferably supporting senior leaders or corporate functions
  • Experience supporting Legal, Compliance, Finance, or other professional business functions preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or other regulated industry
  • Experience coordinating complex calendars, meetings, and travel arrangements
  • Familiarity with document management systems and electronic filing practices
  • Experience handling confidential business information and sensitive communications
  • Strong written communication and business correspondence skills

Base salary is determined by several factors including the candidate’s qualifications, skills, education, experience, business needs and market demands.  As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay scale for this position, applicable to all candidates, is $92,000 - $112,00 per year.  We comply with all applicable minimum wage laws.
