WGNO-TV/WNOL-TV in New Orleans has an immediate opening for a part-time Administrative Assistant who will manage our front office and breakroom areas.
Duties include:
- Provide administrative and clerical support to the Vice President/General Manager and other Dept Heads
- Serve as front desk reception and primary point of contact for visitors and callers
- Prepare outgoing mail/packages and distribute incoming delivered items and mail
- Compose email correspondence to notify employees about station events, office building notices, etc.
- Monitor breakroom inventory, place orders for low stock items, and replenish supplies daily or when needed
- Assist Vice President/General Manager with planning and executing monthly employee lunches/in station events within the department’s budget
- Act as community service liaison for station efforts in our market
- Cross train in sales department to assist when necessary
- Perform other clerical functions and general duties as assigned/needed
Requirements & Skills:
- High School diploma required
- Fluency in English
- Previous experience in office administration or other related fields preferred
- Work schedule is part-time---no more than 29 hours/week
- Self-starter who can work independently and collaboratively
- Exceptional organizational skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office desktop applications
- Proficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, and other office equipment
