At the Tom James Company, an Assistant supports our sales team members, store leaders, and key organizational leaders in fulfilling our mission to be a global leader in the fashion industry. An Assistant is a valued member of the Tom James sales support team.
We currently have a part-time opening in our New York, NY office. Our position is for 10-20 hours per week at $21 per hour. We are looking to fill this position immediately. Hours are flexible.
Job Responsibilities
- This part-time Assistant's responsibilities include day-to-day support of their sales team member which includes:
- Manages the sales professional's social & business media - LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook; strategizes on ways to reach existing and new clients
- Communicates regularly with sales professional; meets regularly with sales professional for setting goals
- Supports the sales efforts of the sales professional
- Prospects new clients using internet and social media applications
- Enters referrals into CRM and locates information
- Sends introductory and promotional messages
- Creates call lists/hot lists
- Maintains a professional image to interface with corporate clients
A successful candidate fits the following criteria:
- Social media savviness (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook)
- Confident, independent worker
- Photography background preferred
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written, plus listening skills)
- Extraordinary organizational and time management skills
- Professional customer service skills
- Proficient using multiple forms of technology (Google Drive products, Microsoft products, etc.)
- Motivated to tackle challenges
- Experience with a sales-oriented environment is a plus!
