Overview

Job Responsibilities

  • Handles all correspondence for the Principal.
  • Maintain confidentiality, integrity, and security of information (written and spoken) at all times.
  • Maintain a safe and secure working environment.
  • Organize and schedule meetings and appointments for the Principal.
  • Support other Administration, Guidance & Business Office Assistants, as requested.
  • Assign teacher/sub coverages for absentee faculty, print class rosters, etc.
  • Use Continuing Ed Tracker to enter licensing and certification for all teachers.
  • Guide faculty in certification and recertification procedures.
  • Prepare all calendars.
  • Maintain/oversee various inventories.
  • Create and maintain shared documents & spreadsheets.
  • Ensure office operations & procedures are organized, and office efficiency is maintained.
  • Cross train duties and responsibilities with other Administrative Assistants.
  • Assists with special events as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned. 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma.
  • Knowledge/Use of telephones, computers, and other office equipment.
  • Proficient skills working with platforms, including but not limited to; Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, Word Press.
  • Database program and mail merge experience.
  • Attention to detail and able to work independently.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks with emphasis on meeting tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively with students, School and Diocesan employees, department heads, representatives of other agencies, and the general public
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Adherence to the Diocese of Venice Code of Conduct with emphasis on confidentiality.
  • Undergoing a FDLE Level 2 background check.

Skills Required
