Job Description
The Placement Specialist is responsible for assisting the School Manager and other applicable management personnel with student placement, and administrative duties as assigned but are not limited to the following:
- Responsible for functioning as a direct liaison between the student/graduate and the employer for the purpose of providing successful job placement assistance
- Scheduling and hosting industry recruiters as approved by the company.
- Responsible for supporting the admissions team by assisting in scheduling prospective student seminars and job fairs, providing industry employer hiring qualifications, assisting in qualifying prospective students.
- Responsible for assisting the School Manager in organizing and providing employer participation in all school job fairs and outside hiring seminars.
- Responsible for assisting students in completing job applications.
- Complying with all applicable placement policies and procedures.
- Monitor and track all submitted employment applications.
- Explaining proper interview techniques to ensure the student understands what companies are looking for and how to best express themselves.
- Perform duties with honesty, objectivity, truthfulness, integrity and high ethical standards.
- Regular, reliable and predictable work attendance is an essential job function of this position.
- All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years verifiable office administrative experience
- Ability to effectively communicate with applicants, students and company personnel regarding student placement options
- After training, must possess the ability to read and understand loan contracts with the ability to convey terms to both students and company personnel
- Must be able to demonstrate physical, intellectual and leadership ability to perform the duties of placement assistance arrangements with students and trucking companies
- Must have an energetic and positive personality with the capability to work and adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment
- Minimum high school graduate or equivalent
- After training, must possess the ability to review consumer background reports including criminal background reports and motor vehicle reports
