Administrative Assistant/ Payroll

Position OverviewAs an Administrative Assistant, you will perform general clerical and administrative duties to assist department, supervisors and managers.
You will be responsible for a variety of general payroll tasks in the payroll department. Such as accurate reporting of payroll information for the company's warehouse employees in addition to the reporting of information to warehouse management.

Job Description

You will contribute by:

• Prepares, maintains & distributes reports
• Interfaces with a variety of people, internally and externally, in routine matters
• Performs routine administrative responsibilities
• Proficient with Excel, PowerPoint & working knowledge of Word
• Possesses strong oral and written communication skills
• Attentive to detail
• Maintain programs effectively and correctly, including WFM, Red Prairie, Workday, and Workbrain.
• Track payroll compliance issues.
• Ensure weekly warehouse payroll information is completed accurately and timely manner for transmission to the Corporate Payroll department.
• Follow approved procedures to correct any errors that may arise with employees' pay, including hourly, salary, and incentive pay.
• Assess causes of payroll errors and recommend solutions.
• Travel Required: No

We’re searching for candidates with:

• Special Skills : Mathematical Skills - Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide. Computer Skills - To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Human Resource systems; Payroll systems; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
