Hampden-Sydney College has an immediate opening for a part-time Administrative Assistant to the Office of the Provost. Reporting to the Provost and Dean of the Faculty, the Administrative Assistant provides administrative support to the Provost and Dean of the Faculty and serves as a key member of the Academic Affairs administrative team. The position manages executive operations, facilitates communication within Academic Affairs and across the College, coordinates faculty governance processes, and supports strategic initiatives and special projects. The Administrative Assistant exercises sound judgment, maintains strict confidentiality, and ensures the efficient operation of the Office of the Provost.
Hiring Range: $20.00 per hour. This is a part-time position working 20 hours per week for 10 months (August through May).
QualificationsQualifications: Bachelor's degree preferred. A minimum of three years of progressively responsible administrative support experience, preferably in higher education or another complex organization, is strongly preferred. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills; the ability to manage multiple priorities with discretion and professionalism; proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
