Summary
Support the Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) Education Division by performing administrative duties to ensure office operations are accurate, efficient, and deadlines are met. The position requires commitment to continuous improvement and the ability to analyze data to identify improvement opportunities.
Education and Experience
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalency.
- One-year related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Computer/keyboarding skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office suites, internet, basic financial management. Must be able to simultaneously manage multiple projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage phone calls, files, correspondence, reports, and databases.
- Process requisitions, order supplies, and reconcile purchase card balances monthly.
- Coordinate travel requests, registrations, and arrangements for meetings, conferences, and site visits.
- Maintain and update the divisional website and homepage.
- Follow agency procedures and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Assist with Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA), Career Tech Student Organization (CTSO) events and conferences.
Salary and Benefits
$34,576.30 - $38,273.32

No management responsibilities.
Communication Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees. Ability to communicate ideas and concepts to other employees.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate simple mathematical equations as applicable (for example: add, subtract, multiply and divide).
Reasoning Skills
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Licenses, Certificates, Registrations
Microsoft Office Certifications (e.g., excel, word, access) preferred. Valid driver’s license required.
Physical Demands
Ability to lift 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
Work Environment
Position officed on-site at CareerTech in Stillwater, OK.
May require occasional travel and overnight stays.
Hiring contingent upon successful completion of background check.
