The Administrative Assistant role is integral to the operations of the Brown School Dean’s office. This position serves as a lead receptionist greeting visitors to the Dean’s office, as well as fielding phone calls and managing a portion of the email coming into the School. The Administrative Assistant supports the Dean’s Office with meeting and event planning/execution/follow up, as well as development of PowerPoint and Excel resources.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provides coverage of the Dean’s Office, serving as a first point of contact for visitors to the Dean’s Office and responsive administrative support for the Dean and Chief of Staff. Greets guests warmly, assists visitors with wayfinding. Fields phone calls to the Dean’s Office and triage email sent to shared School accounts.
- Provides administrative support to the Dean and executive leadership, which may include appointment scheduling, meeting set up and minutes taking, materials and presentation development, and maintenance of records in University systems.
- Assists in the planning and execution of meetings, social events and academic convenings. Responsibilities may include coordinating print and/or email invitations, coordinating with vendors, managing RSVP lists, creating name tags, setting up room configurations, coordinating a/v services, and other events logistics tasks.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
