About the role: 

Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources, the Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing support to the Human Resources (HR) department for Central Services.

Someone who is a motivated self starter, works well with a team, and can professionally manage confidential material. You are organized, have strong attention to detail, are adaptable, eager to learn, and able to prioritize contending demands in a fast-paced environment.

In this role you will:

    • Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies
    • Support the new hire onboarding process by coordinating orientation activities, facilitating employee sign-on documentation, and system updates
    • Maintain, update, and ensure data integrity within the Human Resources Information System (HRIS), generating regular reports and analytics to support strategic decision-makingPartner with the HR team to resolve employee inquiries and support engagement initiatives
    • Provide administrative support to the Human Resources team and other departments as required maintaining databases and personnel files, accurately and in compliance with appliable legislation
    • Collaborate with leaders and the HR team to improve HR processes and enhance the employee experience.
    • Perform other responsibilities as they arise

Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma
    • Minimum two years experience in an administrative capacity
    • Strong attention to detail, organization, and data management skills
    • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite®; experience with HRIS or data systems is an asset.
    • Excellent communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented mindset.
    • Ability to professionally manage confidential information
    • Previous experience in an HR capacity is an asset
    • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License or equivalent 

Salary range: 59,000 - 70,000 CAD /year

The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
