- Maintain accurate cattle records including housing, weights, health status, and movements
- Draft, coordinate, and maintain daily cattle shipment schedules
- Ensure all cattle meet applicable withdrawal requirements before shipment
- Transfer and organize operational data into spreadsheets, ledgers, and recordkeeping systems
- Create and maintain Excel spreadsheets and daily operational reports
- Track feedyard performance statistics and support inventory reporting
- Assist with weighing, counting, and processing incoming and outgoing cattle
- Support cattle shipment operations and assist with sorting cattle when needed
- Communicate and collaborate with multiple departments, coworkers, and management teams
- Assist with answering phones, directing calls, and supporting general office operations
- Maintain organized files and filing systems in accordance with company procedures
- Provide clerical and administrative support across departments as needed
- Fill in for other clerical roles and assist with additional duties assigned by management
- Work effectively in a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment.
Commodities and agricultural experience preferredSpecific Knowledge / Experience:
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Ability to multitask and maintain accurate records
- Basic math and data entry skills
- Knowledge of cattle operations or willingness to learn
- Ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments and locations
