Overview

Cardinal Mooney Catholic High School, within the Diocese of Venice in Florida, Inc. works diligently to support and strengthen the Catholic Church and its value system. By word and example, teachers and staff support all of the official religious teachings of the Catholic Church throughout their personal and professional lives.  

The Administrative Assistant to the Business Office will carry out administrative tasks, with a focus on accounts receivable, parent relations, and staff support.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist and coordinate with FACTS Tuition & Financial Aid platform
  • Invoice tuition and fees due to the school in FACTS
  • Answer and respond to family inquiries via telephone and emails
  • Manage, collect and process weekly deposits
  • Report and discuss all delinquencies with Principal, each month
  • Prepare and maintain spreadsheets, as needed and directed by the Principal and Business Manager.
  • Assist with budget, audit and accreditation preparation
  • Take annual inventory of property
  • Provide all support to faculty and staff, including filing and retrieval of documents.
  • Cover Assistants during breaks and PTO
  • Other job duties and projects, as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
  • AA or bachelor’s degree in finance or equivalent, preferred.
  • Experience in HR and Accounts Receivable.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Attention to detail and able to work independently.
  • Exhibits good judgment and keeps confidentiality.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks with emphasis on meeting deadlines.
  • Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite (word, excel, outlook).
  • Proficiency with multi-line telephones, computers, and other office equipment, such as copiers and scanners.
  • Constant use of both hands and fingers (i.e. typing).
  • Extended periods of sitting and occasional walking.
  • Light lifting and carrying under 25 pounds.
  • Occasional periods of bending and kneeling.
  • Must pass DOV assigned level II FDLE background check.

Skills Required

  • AA or bachelor's degree in finance or equivalent
