Administrative Accounting Coordinator

We are looking for an organized and self-motivated Administrative Accounting Coordinator to support both financial and office operations for a growing organization in Charlottesville, Virginia. This is a fully onsite position offering the opportunity to take ownership of key bookkeeping, administrative, and office support functions.
The successful candidate will have experience handling accounting-related responsibilities, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring smooth day-to-day office operations. Key Responsibilities
- Process and verify invoices while ensuring timely and accurate recordkeeping
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
- Perform account reconciliations and support general bookkeeping functions
- Maintain financial records and administrative documentation in an organized manner
- Coordinate with vendors regarding payments, invoices, and account inquiries
- Provide administrative support to ensure efficient office operations
- Manage incoming communications, including phone calls, emails, and correspondence
- Assist with reporting, data tracking, and special projects as assigned by leadership
- Support internal processes and help maintain operational efficiency across the office
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience in bookkeeping, accounting support, office administration, or a related role
- Hands-on experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and invoice processing
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently with minimal supervision
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
