Prepare and record monthly journals, financial reports, and payroll calculations; assist with inventory counts, capital expenditure tracking, and special projects; support month-end and year-end close processes while maintaining accurate records and compliance.

The Accountant is responsible for accurately preparing, analyzing, recording, and reporting of transactions. Responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly journals including accruals, accrual reversals, adjustments and inter-company transactions. 
  • Prepare internal use financial reports and job analysis for management and operations team using reports from Oracle Financials, EIS, Nabors' Business Intelligence and myNabors Suite; as well as the ERP and Tracker programs 
  • Assist with Inventory counts and tracking including lab, shop, and yard areas not climate controlled and requiring provided safety gear 
  • Assist with Capital Expenditure requests and track status and spending on related AFEs 
  • Participate in Special Projects and assignments on a regular basis and other duties as assigned 
  • Overtime may be required during monthly and quarterly/year-end closings, special projects, and other times as deemed necessary.
  • Calculation and processing of salaries, vacation pay, sick leave benefits, and other employee compensation.
  • Calculation of payroll taxes and mandatory statutory contributions related to employee compensation.
Qualifications
  • Four-year degree in Accounting 
  • 0-2 years of experience 
  • Extended periods of work may be required during financial reporting close. 
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities, and meet goals and deadlines. 
  • Computer skills required; job entails working with several software applications 
  • Good written and verbal communication skills required 
  • Excellent organizational skills Proven ethics, professionalism and discretion 
  • Must be detail oriented
