As an Administration & Payroll Tax Specialist, you’ll be responsible for analyzing and resolving payroll abnormalities, and tax payments, audits, and projects.

What you’ll do

Ensure payroll, taxes, and/or deposit frequency changes are properly input, processed, and align with policies, procedures, and processing rules. Perform data entry/quality control on earnings, deductions, direct deposits, tax set-up, and changes.

Receive and analyze personnel change actions, resolve inconsistencies, and correct data interface issues between systems.

Function as Subject Matter Expert (SME) regarding data, payroll processing, and taxes. Communicate directly with employees and managers regarding issues.

Prepare, review, process and distribute routine payroll and ad hoc reports.

Reconcile tax payments internally and conduct research, analysis, and resolution to payroll related tax notices and inquiries. Conduct regular payroll tax audits and reviews for accurate tax funding to ensure compliance.

Ensure proper setup and maintenance of local withholding codes for employer and employees in the payroll system.

Coordinate year-end efforts to ensure accurate W-2s and other annual/quarterly tax filings.
Your qualifications

High School diploma (or equivalent) and 2+ years of related experience as a payroll specialist, coordinator, or similar role with multi-state US payroll

Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations and excellent understanding of multi-location payroll tax

Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of HRIS systems a plus (SAP, Workday, GlobalView)

Strong attention to detail and data quality; can understand and analyze processes

Customer focused and solution oriented with excellent communication skills, written and verbal; can interact with all levels in the organization

Successful at managing competing priorities and works well under pressure

Salary: $32.63 per hour – $38.47 per hour

Annual Performance Sharing Plan (PSP): Annual plan target of 2.5% of eligible earnings and is dependent upon the achievement of targeted business results
