Job Description
Working as a III Administrative Associate at BAE Systems Space & Mission Systems (SMS) is an exciting opportunity to become part of a high-tech team of people developing innovative products for the Aerospace and Defense industry. You will be responsible for assisting in the development of a multi-year plan that the team must follow to produce the customer deliverable. Tasks are performed under the general direction of program managers and functional managers, plus mentoring from senior Master Planner staff.
The Finance Strategic Capabilities Unit delivers the expertise and business acumen to increase value across the enterprise by providing actionable information with recommendations and opportunities to drive sustainable business growth.
What You'll Do:
  • Review the program schedule requirements and work with the senior Master Planner to ensure requirements are met.
  • Schedule task development and input to the schedule tool.
  • Work with program personnel to assign resources to tasks using the schedule tool as required.
  • Work with the Master Planner Lead on establishing the schedule baseline and ongoing maintenance
  • Attend schedule update meetings as required.
  • Input of weekly and/or monthly schedule updates to program schedules.
  • Development of schedule reports and metrics. Provide in a timely manner to support customer deliverables as necessary.
  • Attendance at customer meetings as required.
  • Work with program Master Planner lead in recovery schedule development and implementation as deemed necessary.
  • Support the development of what-if schedule inputs and analysis.
  • Support new business proposals with development of proposal schedules with input from the Master Planner staff.
  • Support the Master Planning Staff to understand program material and subcontractor requirements that are integrated into the Program schedule.
  • Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.

On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site three or more days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.

  • Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, cleanroom, or production floor.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • High School diploma or equivalent plus 2 or more years of related experience.
  • Each higher-level related degree, i.e., Bachelor's or Master's, may substitute for two years of related experience. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
  • Requires some knowledge and experience in utilizing business principles, concepts, practices, and standards.
  • Exhibit communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work in a team setting, coordinating group initiatives in order to bring a project to completion.
  • Must have a positive attitude and be willing to take initiative.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated capability to adequately perform the essential functions and responsibilities of the position.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $48438 - $77500
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
