About the Team:
The Powder Bed Fusion manufacturing team develops, creates, and operates the most advanced additive manufacturing technologies in the world. This best-in-class team makes sure that the infrastructure, materials, tools, and equipment are in place for us to rapidly iterate and print. The Powder-Based manufacturing team was crucial to manufacturing Aeon-1 for first launch and now are developing and demonstrating groundbreaking technologies, design, and approaches for Aeon-R!
About the Role:
- Operate Depowdering Machinery, Wire EDM’s, and Vacuum Heat-Treating Furnaces
- Deburr, Remove Supports, and Surface Prep PBF Printed Hardware
- Inspect parts for dimensional accuracy, defects, surface quality, and perform necessary rework
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of work performed
- Collaborate with Engineering and Team to develop and implement new post processing operations
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines ensuring a safe work environment
About You:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ Years Experience in PBF Post-Processing or other Additive Manufacturing technologies
- Proficient in operating post-processing equipment such as Depowdering Machinery, Wire EDM’s, Vacuum Heat-Treating Furnaces, and a solid understanding in various post-processing techniques
- Strong attention to detail and ability to consistently produce high-quality parts. Experienced in inspecting PBF Parts for defections and dimensional accuracy
- Ability to interpret technical documents and maintain accurate records
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues related to post-processing
Nice to haves but not required:
- 3+ years working as a Powder Bed Fusion Technician
- 2 Year Associate Science in Advanced Manufacturing Technology (or equivalent)
- Certification in Wire EDM and/or Vacuum Heat-Treating applications
- Experience in Esprit Cam Software or Programming Wire EDM’s
