General Description:

Our Co-op Intern will support the entire manufacturing process from raw material production and 3D printing of samples to material analysis and mechanical testing. In this role, you will independently execute tasks, learn established protocols for state-of-the-art fabrication, and improve the design, processing and characterization of these novel AM technologies. Position will require frequent technical communication with team members and customers, including oral and written reporting. This position is for the spring of 2025, with a start date as early as January of 2025. 


Essential Duties:

Mix resins and feedstock materials 

Prepare 3D printer, optimize print parameters and operate printer

Perform materials analysis, optical microscopy and mechanical testing

Summarize key findings in written documents and slides

Applicant should have completed at least 2 years of college. 


Required Education:

Currently pursuing a degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or closely related field


Physical Requirements:

Applicant must be capable of working safely in a chemical laboratory and performing extended analysis at computer workstations.

Compensation:

The pay range for this position is $30 - $35 per hour.
